While our primary focus is on unassisted childbirth (also known as UC, freebirth, freebirthing, unassisted homebirth,
unhindered birth, and autonomous birth), you are welcome to discuss other topics, as well.

C-birth. This is the oldest unassisted childbirth list (originally called ucbirth, then cbirth, now c-birth!). It is still an active list, but I no longer
moderate it. There is a two week lurking period before members are allowed to post messages. If you're looking for "old" cbirth members, you may find them here.

the Committed To UC Email List. Description as listed: This group is for those
who are ALREADY totally committed, both practically and philosophically, to
unhindered, unassisted childbirth. This group is not for those who are still
researching unassisted birth and need more information to make a decision.
There are other groups devoted to that purpose. We provide a safe place for
families who have chosen unassisted birth to discuss their choices. We provide
support, not arguments. If you are a doctor, nurse, midwife, or doula, please
do not apply. We do not believe in assisted birth under any circumstances, and
we support the unassisted birther by relating helpful experiences from those
who have done it. Most importantly, we believe that the only way to have a safe
and satisfying birth is for the mother to trust her intuition.

the Empowered Childbirth Email List. Description as listed: This group was
created to support women (and men) in their personal and spiritual journeys
through the childbearing years. We welcome all people from all backgrounds who
wish to learn more about pregnancy, health, nutrition, childbirth, family
planning, discipline, Reiki, unassisted birthing (or unabirth), TCS/NCP,
waterbirth, Goddess, relationships (I'm running out of keywords ;) and inner
peace. Our moderator, Ocean Song, is something of a "Radical Mother" so we
expect to have our beliefs tested here on a pretty regular basis. Hot topics
like abortion, circumcision, formula feeding, day care and unabirth are
dividing families against each other all over the Internet. Our aim here is to
educate, not attack. We're all just people making friends, making babies and
making different choices.

the Unassisted Birth After Cesarean List. Description as listed: A learning and
living place for women having an unassisted birth after cesarean. All levels of
strength and courage are welcomed and encouraged. Discussion will be open with
a focus on taking steps towards autonomy after experiencing one of obstetrics
greatest interventions - c-sections.

the JewishUC list. Description as listed: This group is for families from all
different backgrounds, who chose to have a do it yourself birth! Hospital and
midwife assisted birthers are also welcomed. This group will provide education
and information that doctors may not give you. All topics are on including
prenatal care, co-sleeping, vaccination, circumcision and Jewish holidays. Feel
comfortable to ask anything! No subject is taboo here. It's even ok to have
debates about abortion issues. But please NO FLAMMING! Lets find the joys of
